The Role
This role is responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions that advance our lending platform. You will take complex concepts from our lending partners and convert them into clear, actionable plans for our engineering teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in APIs and system integrations, combined with analytical skills to dissect multi-system workflows and transform business needs into practical, implementable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of our systems, lender products, data flows, and client needs, not just at the surface level but from the ground up.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to drive lender and partner integrations end-to-end.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, dev-ready technical requirements with supporting data, edge cases, and scenarios.
- Write scalable, precise documentation including user flows, API specs, decision trees, and integration logic that evolves with the product.
- Conduct UAT testing, write test scripts, and support production releases by proactively identifying issues.
- Investigate production issues to isolate root causes and help reduce turnaround time.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying gaps in processes, tools, or documentation.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately across tech, business, and external partner teams.
- Collaborate with teams across time zones to navigate shifting priorities and deliver with precision and speed
- Own projects through completion, keeping both momentum and product integrity high.
Qualifications
- 1-2 plus years of experience in a business analyst, product analyst, or technical operations role.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Strong foundation in APIs. Able to test, document, and define requirements for external facing APIs.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Familiar with databases and querying (SQL/NoSQL), Excel, and working knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Comfortable with writing and managing UAT test plans.
- Experience with tools like Postman, JIRA, Confluence, and documentation platforms.
- High attention to detail, as the work touches compliance, data privacy, or risk-sensitive flows.
- Proactive communicator with adaptive communication skills depending on the audience (internal, external, technical, or non-technical).
- Demonstrated interest in fintech, point-of-sale lending, and a strong desire to grow within the space.
- Self-starter with a bias for action and a strong sense of ownership.
